Iakwe short film write-up in NW Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

NW Arkansas Democrat-Gazette features a writeup by Dustin Staggs on the Iakwe: Hello, Goodbye (“Iakwe”) production that filmed in the Springdale, Arkansas area at the end of July/early August. Iakwe is directed by Nathan Fitch with Lailanie Gadia producing.

Iakwe: Hello, Goodbye tells the story of Jacob Hawkes, a young Marshallese adoptee, who meets his blood relatives for the first time while knocking on doors as a traveling salesman in Arkansas. Based on real events.

This short film is now in post-production and will be on the film festival circuit in 2026.
